Get Storytelling Superpowers, Write the Stories That Sell
So You Can Rapidly Connect with Ideal Customers, Communicate the Value of Your Expertise, and Convert Looky-Loos into Buyers
A 3 Day Intensive with Robin Colucci
When: June 9 – 12, 2026
Where: Mercy by the Sea (167 Neck Road Madison CT 06443)
Investment: $2,500 and includes accommodations, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner during stay
Your expertise is not lacking.
How you communicate the value might be.
Many brilliant experts lose sales, referrals, speaking opportunities, and clients because they explain what they do in a way that is technically accurate but not emotionally or commercially compelling.
They talk about their process.
They describe their methodology…and explain the details.
They share what they think is cool about their work.
But too often, the best experts fail to communicate the specific benefits their work brings to the people they are here to serve.
And when your ideal customers cannot quickly understand how your expertise benefits them, they hesitate.
They may admire you.
They may even be impressed by you.
But they will not buy.
Stories Do What Technical Explanations Cannot
The right stories help people understand:
- What you do
- Who you help
- Why your work matters
- What specific transformation you help them create
- Why they should trust you
- Why now is the time to work with you
- What it might feel like to work with you
That is why this intensive is not about becoming a “better storyteller” in some vague, inspirational way.
It is about learning the four categories of stories that do the heavy lifting in sales, trust-building, and conversion.
And actually writing them with Robin’s help!
The Four Stories that Sell
During this 3-day intensive, Robin will guide you in developing the four core stories every expert needs to have ready so that they can communicate authority, connection, value, and trust.
Your Value Story
This is the story that answers the question, “What do you do?”
Told right, it helps people understand the real value and primary benefit of your work.
No more yammering on and on in some disorganized, vague, and muddy monologue.
This one-sentence story helps your ideal customers understand who you are, who you help, and the transformational value of your work.
This short-and-to-the-point “story” is perfect for networking events, meetings, or any situation where you have less than one-minute to capture the attention of your ideal-fit prospects and get a conversation going.
Your Origin Story
This story answers the question: “How did you get started in this work?”
Told right, your origin story will demonstrate the depth of your expertise without sounding “braggy” and highlight key elements of your journey that are most likely to help your listener appreciate how uniquely prepared you are to assist them.
Your Competency Stories
These stories answer the question: “Can you tell me about someone like me who’s worked with you and gotten the results I want?”
No matter how many people you’ve helped, it won’t mean anything to your prospective client until you tell a story that helps them imagine what it might be like for them to work with you.
Which is why during this workshop, we will identify three “types” of ideal prospects and help you write three unique competency stories from your deep well of experience, each of which will contain details that match one of your top three client types.
Your "All is Lost" Moment Story
The story of one of the worst moments in your life, is the story that makes you relatable, human, and, oddly, builds trust .
Robin will help you identify and effectively tell the story of a moment of challenge, uncertainty, failure, or transformation that helped shape who you are and how you serve.
Told well, this kind of story does not weaken your authority.
It deepens it.
It makes you relatable, memorable, and builds trust.
By the end of the intensive, you will:
Unlocked the power of storytelling to help you turn potential leads into paying clients or power partners and leave with:
- A clear one-sentence value proposition
- Your origin story
- Three targeted competency stories
- Your “all is lost” moment story
All in all, you’ll leave with six stories that you can use in:
- Sales Conversations
- Networking events and meetings
- Keynotes and TEDx talks
- Other speaking opportunities
- Marketing copy
- and eventually in your Book
Hear From Our Clients
This is for you if:
You are a founder, executive, scientist, educator, advisor, coach, consultant, techie wiz, professional, government official, or other thought leader with deep expertise and meaningful work to share.
You are a reformer at heart.
You have solutions for persistent problems others have learned to tolerate.
You have a passionate desire to share your ideas, experience, and solutions so you can help make life better for people, organizations, industries, communities, or even planet Earth.
But you know your message is not landing as powerfully as it could.
Maybe you overexplain.
Maybe you get too bogged down in the technical.
Maybe you struggle to explain what you do simply, or you don’t know where to stop.
Maybe people are interested in what you do, but they are not converting.
If any of these examples sound like you, this intensive is designed specifically for you.
Why This Matters Now
In business, people decide quickly.
- They decide whether they understand you and what you do, or if it’s too complicated to bother.
- They decide whether or not they trust you.
- They decide whether or not they believe you can help them.
- They decide whether to keep listening, refer you, hire you, invite you, or to just move on.
If your stories are not clear, compelling, and aligned with what your ideal customers actually care about, if you are making people work too hard to understand the value you provide, then chances are you are missing opportunities every time you show up.
This is Not Aout Saying More
This is about communicating effectively to make it easier for your ideal prospect, referral partner, or networking maven to understand who you are and what you do, to build trust with them, and convert them into a customer, an ambassador, an advocate for you and your work..
It is about learning to stop leading with the technical details of what you do or your unabridged life story and start communicating the impact and benefits your work creates.
It is about giving your ideal clients/customers/partners the stories they need to feel confident taking the next step with you.
The Experience
This is an intimate, hands-on intensive program limited to no more than 15 participants.
You will not sit passively through lectures.
You will write.
You will refine.
You will receive guidance.
You will try out your stories with one another and get feedback on what is landing and what is not.
You will leave with stories you can actually use.

Why Robin Colucci
Robin Colucci helps high-level experts, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders turn their ideas, expertise, and stories into traditionally published books.
But before a book can change the world, your message has to land.
Your audience has to understand what you do.
Your ideal customers have to recognize the value of your work.
And the people you are here to serve have to trust you enough to take the next step.
That is the work Robin does best: helping brilliant people communicate the value of their expertise with clarity, depth, and persuasive power.
Only 15 Seats Available
This intensive is intentionally small because the work is personal, strategic, and hands-on.
You will leave with the stories that help you connect faster, communicate value more clearly, and convert more of the right people into buyers.
If you are tired of being admired but not hired, understood only after a long explanation, or overlooked because your message is too technical, this is the room to be in.
Your Expertise Already Has Value
Now let’s make sure your ideal customers “get” it.
